That’s exactly where 10 Spot makes its mark. Hailing from Virginia Beach, VA, 10 Spot is a party band whose primary goal is to create fun and memorable moments at every event. From Motown to classic soul, rock’n’roll to contemporary party hits, this band entertains audiences of all music tastes and has a remarkable ability to connect at an individual level with every single guest. Few bands can effortlessly groove an R&B classic like Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together”, then heat up the party with hip-hop hit like Flo-Rida’s “Good Feeling”, and close with Journey’s epic “Don’t Stop Believing”, all in the course of one flawlessly-composed set. From a slow dance to a fist-pumping jam, 10 Spot’s funky and fresh mix will make guests smile… and sweat. 10 Spot is led by industry veterans Gray Finnegan and Jon Burford. Gray has experience in a variety of bands ranging from jazz combos to 80’s rock bands, while Jon brings to the band a James Brown-type vocal energy, and a Duane Allman-meets-Prince guitar versatility. Jon is a polished showman—when he steps into the crowd and launches into a guitar solo, he helps kick the party to a whole new level. A true family band, 10 Spot’s lineup also features a second generation of Burford talent, as Jon is joined by his daughter Jacqueline on vocals and his son Phil on drums. This special family bond, combined with keyboardist and founding member Glenn Carver and long-time bassist John Stratford, gives 10 Spot a chemistry and authenticity that few bands can offer. Since 2002, 10 Spot has played a busy schedule of parties, weddings and special events that rivals the region’s most prolific bands. Meticulously rehearsing a constantly-expanding repertoire that incorporates both the newest hits along with the most beloved and respected songs in popular music, 10 Spot’s planning and attention to detail ultimately pays off in an unforgettable event.
